About Me
I am Dr. Sachin Nagendrappa, born in Chitradurga, and did my early schooling there. My secondary schooling was in Alva’s College, Moodbidri. Received my medicine degree MBBS from Government medical college, Shivamogga (Shivamogga Institute of Medical sciences), then pursued my passion in psychiatry and completed my MD Psychiatry residency with best outgoing student award from one of the premier institutes for learning psychiatry in the world i.e., National Institute of Mental health and neurosciences(NIMHANS), Bengaluru, India. Currently working as a Senior Resident Psychiatry currently involved in adult psychiatry, patient care, training, administration, and research work. Experience in Forensic psychiatry, telepsychiatry, and community psychiatry.
Since my training as a junior resident and currently as a senior resident in the Department of Psychiatry, in NIMHANS. I am fortunate to learn the skills in the diagnosis, management of mental health disorders including psychotherapy and for starting my research career at one of the country’s best institutes i.e. NIMHANS. Now along I am pursuing my postgraduate degree in Human Rights Law, from National Law School of India university(Distance education), Bengaluru.
